All of the aircraft in our pool are regularly serviced by qualified staff, partly in our own hangars, and otherwise by Lufthansa Technik.

All of our affiliated airlines are certified according to the European registration criteria laid down by JAA (Joint Aviation Authorities).

The German Federal Aviation Authority (Luftfahrtbundesamt) who monitors airlines’ operations is not responsible for the inspection of these high standards entirely alone.

Our own Flight Safety and Quality Management departments also ensure that all flight operations meet the necessary requirements by carrying out regular audits. At the same time external auditors from other Star Alliance partner airlines working alongside our staff guarantee the high quality of our flight operations. 

Due to yet another accident-free year Eurowings Luftverkehrs AG was presented with the ERA “Airline of the Year 2001” award.

Also Lufthansa CityLine received several awards within the last years.
